Glenallachie 11 Year Old Grattamacco Finish 

To craft The Glenallachie Wine Series, the whisky is expertly matured in American Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels. Subsequently, the whisky underwent additional maturation for almost 2 years in Wine Barriques skilfully sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker, imparting a distinctive twist onto the classic Glenallachie Spirit.

Each of the Wine Finishes has its own unique character and flavour profile influenced by the oak. Factors such as the oak species, level of toasting, and coopering of the cask each leave a unique mark on the slumbering spirit.

This ruby blush malt brims with toffee, stone fruits and orange peel, all delivered by its wonderful Super Tuscan Barriques, following a medium level of toasting. Grattamacco wines are produced in the beautiful Bolgheri area of Tuscany in Italy. The certified Organic Barriques were carefully selected from The Glenallachie chosen winery and then bottled at their finest, when the influence from both the distillery and wood reached perfect equilibrium.

Nose: Waves of honey, peaches and apricots, with toffee, almonds and orange peel.

Taste: Toffee, heather honey, red berries and peaches, fused with apricots, orange peel and nutmeg.
