Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Stiùireadair (pronounced ‘stew-rahdur’ and means ‘helmsman’ in Scots Gaelic) meaning Helmsman in Scots Gaelic, Stiùireadair, is the first Bunnahabhain Limited Edition to pay homage to the Bunnahabhain Helmsman, who adorns every bottle. But the Helmsman is no mere icon, he is a reminder of the origins, a link to the past, and a symbol of the enduring appreciation of the sea by which they are surrounded. To make Stiùireadair first and second fill sherry casks are filled with spirit of different ages and put around different parts of the warehouses to create a whisky that is exposed to all the elements of the coastal elements and keeping the sherry flavour.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice.
Palate: Dried fruits, sea salt, creamy caramel, gentle spice, cinnamon and clove
Finish: Long and lingering with hints of dried fruit and salt
